Early in January 2019, I went with a small team to Primo Tapia, Mexico to visit what would now be Nueva Vida Clinic. Although it was a nearly empty building at the time, we were all immediately inspired by the potential that the building had to become something greater than what it was. All of us had the same vision that day - to commit to this ambitious project of transforming this building into a quality healthcare clinic that would also serve as a community-building ground for the local neighborhood.
Since then, we have raised over $20k in funds and received gifts from generous donors that allowed us to provide free eye, dental, and primary care services to over 130 patients since our first community clinic day on August 2, 2019. In December 2019, we performed our first cataract surgeries for two local patients.
